The Problem
Automobile fuel sending unit parts wear out; Connections rust, corrosion spreads, tubes break, fuel leaks begin, floats, strainers and rheostats fail to operate properly.
Some of the common symptoms associated with damaged fuel sending units are:
-Improper fuel gauge readings
-Plugged or Obstructed fuel lines
-Leaking gas
Added to these frustrations is the cost of replacing the fuel-sending unit. Unfortunately, this can often be an expensive problem to solve and may not be the only challenge. Manufacturers are no longer making some parts and replacements are becoming harder to find.

Normal charge for rebuilding a fuel sending unit is between $89.00 to $229.00, this includes all parts and labor. Extensive repairs, Custom built units and Priority requests may cost more.
